# Warren Butthead

At the start of all this, my only certainty was that my retirement fund needed more money. Oh, and that I knew how to pick winning stocks where the money I made and invested was guaranteed to beat anything else anyone else was doing. Nevermind data, experience, etc., I had intuition. My system was vibes. 

*(Side Note: This is not advice - but vibes is not an actual strategy.)*

If you are [following along](https://www.never2late2hustle.com/paging-my-inner-gekko/), you already know what I was working with ($60 big ones!!) Not life-changing - not close. But, that made losing it on bad "bets" (aka my stock picks) even dumber.

Late 2025 I started asking different questions. What actually makes an investment good over time? What's the difference between chasing a return and building it? How do I stop picking stupid things and plan how to make all this work for the next 15 years?

What came out of it (eventually) was a structure. Now, to be fair and to be honest, this whole side hustle thing is an add-on – my anchor – my actual nest egg is my 401k (which was also a hot mess at the time). My side hustle is my "lab" – it's real (and way more fun) but smaller, intentional, and smart and deliberate bets. 

All of this will flesh out in time with this blog but suffice it to say I'm not Warren Buffett. And I needed my AI friends to give some real thought to what I was hoping to do. For sure, I know what it feels like to go from '"vibes" to actually having "something".

Those are very different places.
